He noted that all beneficiaries were issued receipts to ensure accountability and transparency.
Dr. Balarabe commended NELFund for its exceptional contribution to education financing, emphasizing that the intervention has relieved financial burdens on students, parents, and the institution. He further highlighted the broader societal impact, stating that initiatives like this help reduce social unrest and other vices among the youth.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed hope for the continued sustainability of the scheme, praying for divine guidance and foresight for those managing the programme.
The NELFund initiative, introduced by the federal government, aims to improve access to higher education by providing financial assistance to students across public tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
We sincerely thank the President for the student loan initiative , which covers school fees and provides feeding allowances. This support truly, truly helps parents and reduces the financial stress on families, making it easier for students to focus on their studies.
With this assistance, students are less likely to go astray, and they can concentrate fully on their education without worries. It also promotes mental well-being, as students won’t have to struggle with financial pressures or feel discouraged. Instead, they can carry out their academic activities properly and pursue their dreams with confidence.
This initiative is a huge step forward for education in our country, and we are deeply grateful for the government’s commitment to the future of Nigerian students.
Thank you for making a difference in our lives!
