The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has appointed Dr Sunday Saanu as its Director of Public Relations.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Monday in Oye-Ekiti by the university’s Registrar, Mr Mufutau Ibrahim, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.
The registrar described Saanu as a communication scholar and seasoned journalist with extensive experience spanning both public and private universities.
Before his appointment, Saanu served as media assistant to four vice-chancellors at the University of Ibadan. He later moved to Ajayi Crowther University, where he further strengthened his administrative and media relations expertise.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Language Arts, a Master of Communication Arts, a Master of Arts, and a PhD in Cultural and Media Studies from the University of Ibadan.
Saanu is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
