The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has announced the commencement of admissions into its newly approved degree programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session, expanding its academic offerings to meet emerging national and global needs.
According to a statement signed by C. O. Adeleye, Registrar, the new programmes cut across three schools — the School of Basic Medical Sciences (SBMS), the School of Logistics and Innovation Technology (SLIT), and the School of Environmental Technology (SET).
1. School of Basic Medical Sciences (SBMS)
Nursing Science (B.NSc)
Candidates applying for the Nursing Science programme must have scored a minimum of 300 in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with the following subject combination: English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
2. School of Logistics and Innovation Technology (SLIT)
Procurement Management Technology (B.Tech)
Financial Technology (B.Tech)
Applicants to these programmes must have scored a minimum of 180 in the 2025 UTME with the subject combination: English Language, Mathematics, and any two from Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture, Food and Nutrition, Geography, Economics, Government, or Accounting.
3. School of Environmental Technology (SET)
Environmental Management Technology (B.Tech)
Admission into this programme requires a minimum UTME score of 180 and the subject combination: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Geography.
The university urged interested candidates who selected FUTA as their first choice institution to visit the JAMB portal to effect a change to any of the newly approved programmes and thereafter complete the online screening form available on the FUTA website.
Applicants are to pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 only through the Remita platform at any bank.
Online registration begins on Monday, October 20, 2025, and closes on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
The addition of these programmes reflects FUTA’s commitment to aligning higher education with national development priorities in healthcare, innovation, finance, and environmental management.
