The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (MOHERST), Gambia, PS Jainaba Jagne, chaired the Career Development Forum at the Ninth Stake in the Nation Forum (SNF9), where she led a well-coordinated and highly engaging session.
The forum focused on skills development, youth employability, and increased participation in the country’s productive sectors, underscoring the critical role of young people in national development. Participants engaged in discussions aimed at aligning education and skills acquisition with labour market needs.
Attendees were also provided with insights into key government initiatives designed to support students and young professionals, including opportunities for career advancement, access to financing, and entry pathways into priority economic sectors.
PS Jagne’s leadership of the session highlighted MOHERST’s commitment to human capital development, innovation, and inclusive economic growth, in line with the Government’s broader development agenda.
