…Engr. Isiaka Fatai also gets a pat on the back
In recognition of his noteworthy contributions towards the beautification of the Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA and dedication to the upliftment of the Muslim community, the FUTA Muslim Community organized a befitting sendoff ceremony for the former Head Parks and Garden, Alhaji Ahmed Ali on Friday January 9th at the FUTA Central Mosque.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman, FUTA Muslim Community, Professor Isiaka Amoo said ” Today’s occasion affords us the opportunity to formally acknowledge a career marked by dedication, professionalism, and meaningful contribution to the advancement of this institution. Over the years, Alhaji Alli has served with diligence and integrity, and his commitment to duty has earned him the respect of colleagues across the academic and administrative spectrum. His contributions extend beyond his official responsibilities, particularly in fostering values of discipline, cooperation, and community service within and outside the University environment”
Professor Amoo pointed out that “Retirement, within both academic and Islamic traditions, represents not an end, but a transition — a point of reflection on achievements and a gateway to continued intellectual and community engagement. It is our prayer that this new phase will be characterised by good health, fulfilment, and sustained relevance”.
On his part , the Imam, FUTA Central Mosque, Dr. Musa Idris said “In line with Islamic values that uphold sincerity, diligence, and excellence in service, Alhaji Ali’s career stands as a testimony to the proper discharge of trust and professional conduct. His efforts have positively impacted the institution and the people he served.
As he retires from active service, we pray that Almighty Allah accepts his contributions as righteous deeds, grants him good health, peace, and fulfillment in retirement, and rewards him abundantly for his service”.
In his response Alhaji Ali appreciated the honor bestowed on him by the Muslim community and urged those still in service to be committed to the growth and progress of the University.
Additionally, a retired technologist at the Department Mining Engineering, Engr. Isiaka Fatai was also honored at the occasion. The Muslim leadership also showered encomium on him extolling his invaluable work ethics, diligence and hard work within and outside the university.
