At EduTimes Africa, we are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty, the beloved wife of His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedokun Abolarin, the Orangun of Oke-Ila.
As an organisation committed to spotlighting educators and celebrating innovative strides within the education space, we have long admired Kabiyesi not only as a traditional ruler but as a teacher, the proprietor of school famous for admitting for free, indigent children from across the nation, as a nation-builder, and as a compassionate leader whose vision continues to transform lives across generations.
In our previous engagement with him, we encountered a monarch whose life work has been shaped by deep conviction and uncommon dedication to knowledge, justice, and humanity. Today, we share in his grief and honour the memory of his queen—a quiet pillar of strength and grace whose presence brought calm and dignity to the palace.
Her Majesty’s role, though often carried with silent elegance, left an indelible impact. As a steadfast supporter of Kabiyesi’s educational and humanitarian endeavours, she stood beside him in love, service, and faith. Her legacy lives on in the lives touched through the work they both championed—particularly in nurturing young minds and fostering a culture of learning.
To His Royal Majesty and the royal household, we pray for divine strength and comfort during this season of mourning. May the Almighty console and uphold you.
From all of us at EduTimes Africa, we honour Her Majesty’s life, her quiet power, and her enduring legacy.
May her soul rest in perfect peace.
