The International Sports Institute Educational Trust Ltd/Gte (ISI), in partnership with the Oriola-Olubisi Omotayo Foundation and SportsMeetTech Africa Ltd/Gte, has announced a major scholarship initiative aimed at developing the next generation of sports entrepreneurs across Africa.
Under the collaboration, ISI will award 100 full-tuition scholarships to eligible candidates seeking admission into its Sports Ecosystem Entrepreneurial Programme. The initiative is designed to bridge the gap between passion for sports and the business knowledge required to succeed in the rapidly evolving global sports industry.
The scholarship covers 100 per cent of tuition fees for successful applicants, removing financial barriers that often limit access to professional sports education. According to the organisers, the programme will be delivered online, with virtual classes scheduled to commence in February 2026.
Registration for the scholarship is open until January 31, 2026, and participation is strictly limited to the first 100 qualified applicants who successfully complete registration and pay the required registration fees, subject to stated terms and conditions.
Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Ayo Phillips, Director of Operations at ISI and spokesperson for the partnership, said the programme reflects a commitment to inclusive education within the sports sector.
> “Our goal is to democratize access to world-class sports education. By removing tuition costs, we are ensuring that talent and ambition—not financial status—determine who leads the future of African sports,” he said.
The organisers described the scholarship as a rare philanthropic intervention aimed at empowering young innovators with entrepreneurial skills, industry insights, and practical tools needed to thrive within the sports ecosystem.
Interested applicants are encouraged to apply early due to the limited slots available. Registration can be completed through the official ISI portal at www.isipro.org, while additional enquiries can be made via +234 803 496 5323.
The announcement was signed by Professor Oluwaseun Omotayo, Founder and Proprietor of the International Sports Institute Educational Trust Ltd/Gte.
The initiative is expected to significantly boost capacity development in sports entrepreneurship and contribute to the growth of Africa’s sports economy.
