CEO of Edumark and Convener of Concerned Parents and Educators Network, Yinka Ogunde, Dies at 2026 Easter Sunday
Yinka Ogunde, the Chief Executive Officer of Edumark and Convener of the Concerned Parents and Educators Network (CPE), has passed away, marking the end of a prominent voice in Nigeria’s education advocacy space.
According to a family statement, Mrs. Olayinka Adejoke Ogunde died on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at a medical facility in London, United Kingdom, surrounded by her loved ones.
Widely regarded as a passionate education reform advocate, Ogunde dedicated much of her career to improving learning outcomes, strengthening school systems, and promoting collaboration among parents, educators, and policymakers through Edumark and the Concerned Parents and Educators Network.
The family described her as a devoted educator, woman of faith, and compassionate leader whose life significantly impacted individuals within and beyond Nigeria’s education sector.
“She was a loving and dedicated woman of God whose kindness, strength, and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her,” the statement read.
They further noted her strong belief in Nigeria’s unity and development, particularly her commitment to advancing the education sector as a tool for national progress.
Her passing has been described as a major loss to the education community and all who benefited from her advocacy and influence.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family in due course, as they expressed appreciation for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers during this period of mourning.
