The Lagos State College of Nursing Science, Igando has received a ₦49,424,000 credit disbursement from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The intervention, confirmed on March 12, 2026, is expected to benefit 2,282 students of the institution.
According to the announcement, the funds will cover tuition and statutory charges, easing the financial burden on students and ensuring uninterrupted academic activities.
The disbursement is part of the broader support scheme by NELFUND aimed at improving access to tertiary education and reducing dropout rates caused by financial constraints.
With the latest intervention, hundreds of nursing students are expected to continue their training without disruption as the institution advances its academic calendar for the session.
