The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has confirmed the receipt of ₦211,154,000 from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as part of the student loan disbursement for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a letter dated March 5, 2026, the Vice-Chancellor, Olumuyiwa Omotola Odusanya, acknowledged the payment made to the university for students who applied for the federal government’s student loan scheme.
According to the institution, the amount represents the second batch of payments for 2,362 students of the university who benefitted from the loan programme.
The university expressed appreciation for the intervention, noting that the scheme supports students by easing the financial burden associated with higher education.
The student loan programme, administered by the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, was established to provide financial assistance to eligible Nigerian students pursuing tertiary education in the country.
