The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has acknowledged the successful institutional loan disbursement to students of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, Kwara State, as part of its ongoing commitment to improving access to higher education across the country. The disbursement exercise, which took place on November 17th, 2025, reflects the Federal Government’s sustained efforts to ease the financial burden on students and their families through structured educational financing.
A total of 5,386 students of Kwara State University benefited from this phase of the institutional loan disbursement. The funds were released directly in line with NELFUND’s established guidelines, ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficient delivery to support students’ academic pursuits. This intervention is expected to enhance students’ ability to focus on their studies without the pressure of immediate financial constraints.
NELFUND commended the management of Kwara State University for its cooperation and timely submission of verified student data, which facilitated the smooth processing and disbursement of the loans. The Fund also acknowledged the role of relevant stakeholders in ensuring that the exercise was carried out seamlessly and in accordance with national education financing policies.
The Fund reaffirmed its commitment to expanding access to education and supporting Nigerian students across public tertiary institutions.
