The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has received the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Award of Excellence in Service Delivery, in recognition of its consistent public engagement and contribution to national development.
The award was presented to the Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, on Friday, December 12, 2025.
Speaking at the event, the General Manager of NTA News 24, Mr Wade Ibrahim, said the 4th edition of the station’s hangout and award night was organised to appreciate organisations, resource persons and staff who supported its programmes throughout the year. He disclosed that 40 resource persons from different sectors were recognised for helping the public better understand government policies.
Declaring the ceremony open, the Director-General of NTA, Mr Salihu Dembos, represented by the Executive Director, Mr Ayo Adewuyi, thanked partners and awardees for their continued support. He noted that their contributions had strengthened public awareness and civic education.
Adewuyi urged award recipients to remain committed to promoting government policies and national development, assuring that NTA would continue to uphold balanced, accurate and responsible journalism.
No fewer than 40 agencies, organisations and notable personalities were honoured at the ceremony, including top government officials, state governments, ministers and industry leaders.
Prof. Oloyede attended the event alongside senior JAMB officials, including the Director of Psychometric Services, Mr Ibrahim Kawu; Director of General Services, Mr Adindu Achunine; Director, Abuja Zonal Office, Mrs Doom Iyortyom; and Mrs Ijeoma Onyekwere of the Public Affairs and Protocol Unit.
