The Oore of Otun Ekiti and Paramount Ruler of Moba Land, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Adekunle Adeagbo, on Thursday, October 23, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) in Abuja.
The monarch was received by the Managing Director of NELFUND, alongside the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Dr. Femi Akinfala.
According to a statement by Fola Ogunniya, for the Director of Strategic Communications, the visit served as a strategic follow-up to previous engagements between the institution and the royal father, reflecting the monarch’s deepening interest in the Fund’s operations and transformative objectives.
The Managing Director expressed his appreciation for the Oore’s unwavering support and advocacy, noting that the involvement of traditional rulers remains critical to the success of national development programmes such as NELFUND.

Both leaders commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision in establishing the Fund, describing it as a landmark intervention designed to democratize access to higher education and promote socio-economic mobility across Nigeria.
In his remarks, Oba Adeagbo reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots sensitization within Moba Land, pledging to ensure that his people are well-informed and positioned to benefit from NELFUND’s education loan scheme.
“Education remains the foundation for sustainable development,” the monarch said. “We will continue to partner with NELFUND to make sure that every eligible youth in Moba Land understands how to access these opportunities.”
The visit, the statement added, underscored the synergy between traditional institutions and federal agencies, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing educational equity and national progress.
