Nigeria’s richest woman, Apostle Folorunso Alakija, is giving out ₦1.3 billion in business support to businesses owned by female entrepreneurs.
To apply, the following criteria must be met:
Must be a female entrepreneur.
Age: Must be between 18 and 50 years old.
Commitment: Must be willing to participate in a multi-month training program (typically 3–4 months) focused on business and life skills before being eligible for the grant.
Previous Participants: Women who have previously benefited from Flourish Africa training or grants are not eligible to reapply.
Business Requirements:
Operational History:
The business must have been running for at least 12 months.
Location: The business must be based in Lagos, Abuja, or Port Harcourt.
Ownership: If the business is co-owned with a man, the female applicant must have at least a 51% ownership stake.
Business Stage: The program typically targets businesses in the startup or early-growth phase.
Grant Details & Application:
Grant Amount: Successful participants from the training pool stand to receive a grant of up to ₦3,000,000 as business support.
Current Deadline: Applications for Cohort 5 must be submitted by April 12, 2026.
