The Pastor Abraham Olanrewaju (PAO) Education Foundation, in partnership with Abraham Seeds College, will tomorrow, Saturday, launch a flagship scholarship scheme aimed at lifting underprivileged children out of educational deprivation.
The event, scheduled for Christ Embassy Hall, Onipanu, Mushin, Lagos, will see 40 pupils officially recognised as the first set of beneficiaries. They include 30 primary and secondary school pupils and 10 WAEC/NECO candidates.
Organisers said the scholarship goes beyond tuition, covering examinations, school uniforms and welfare support, to ensure a rounded educational experience for the children.
Founder of the Foundation, Pastor Abraham Olaluwoye, described the initiative as a legacy project, saying: “True legacy is not measured by what we own, but by the lives we empower. With this scholarship scheme, we are sowing seeds of greatness that will outlive us.”
The launch is expected to attract political leaders, education stakeholders, philanthropists and community builders. Highlights include a scholarship presentation, fundraising drive for future beneficiaries, unveiling of partnership tiers and cultural performances.
Pastor Olaluwoye stressed that sustaining the scheme would require support from government, corporates, religious institutions and individuals. “Education is the bridge between poverty and possibility. We must build that bridge together,” he said.
Observers say the scheme signals a new wave of educational empowerment in Nigeria, positioning the PAO Foundation and Abraham Seeds College as beacons of hope for disadvantaged children.
The event begins at 11 a.m.
