Professor Chibundu Ezekiel has been honored with an Award of Excellence by his alma mater, Babcock University, for his outstanding contributions to food microbiology and micro-toxicology.

It is permission for others to break through the seal. We are proud of you. Wherever you go our hearts and praises go with you.”
Professor Ojewole praised Professor Ezekiel’s global leadership in food safety, integrity, and mentorship, stating, “We are thanking God who has used you to achieve globally.”
In response, Professor Ezekiel expressed gratitude, saying, “I am short of words. I thought it was just going to be a meeting where you tell me what you want and I tell you what you want.”
He pledged to support Babcock University, adding, “though I had been on leave of absence for three years, I never stopped working for Babcock University… but God who sees everything know that this will happen.”
