About the Seplat Energy Applied Technology Training Program
The Seplat Energy Applied Technology Training Program (ATTP) is a City & Guilds-approved foundation-level training initiative aimed at preparing young Nigerians to work as entry-level technicians in the oil and gas industry.
The program has been in existence since 1995, originally run by Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPNU) and now managed by Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Unlimited (SEPNU), the operator of the Joint Venture with the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL).
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Must be a Nigerian citizen
Must possess a National Diploma (ND) in any of the following disciplines:
Chemical Engineering Technology
Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology
Mechanical Engineering Technology
Petroleum Engineering Technology
Must have graduated with a minimum of Upper Credit, obtained not earlier than 2023
Applicants with higher qualifications will not be considered
Must possess a valid government-issued ID (Voter’s Card, National ID, Driver’s Licence, or International Passport)

Participants will receive:
SEPNU Certificate of Completion
City & Guilds Certificate in Applied Engineering Technology (specific discipline)
Hands-on learning with experienced industry professionals
Coaching to build independent thinking, technical competence, and long-term career growth in the energy sector
