The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has announced an extension of the deadline for the submission of Concept Notes for the 2025 National Research Fund (NRF) Grant Cycle. The new deadline is Thursday, September 11, 2025.
The extension was granted to give researchers additional time to complete submissions following the initial challenges experienced with the NRF Portal.
Faculty members of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) are encouraged to take full advantage of this opportunity to finalise and submit their concept notes for the prestigious NRF grant cycle. The NRF supports high-quality and impactful research across three major categories:
Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS)
Science, Engineering, Technology, and Innovation (SETI)
Cross-Cutting (CC) Thematic Areas, including Blue Economy, Artificial Intelligence, Renewable Energy, and National System of Innovation
Key Guidelines for Applicants
