Tinubu Committed to Youth Investment, Education Reform – Shettim
Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to investing in Nigerian youths and transforming the nation’s education sector.
Shettima made the remark on Wednesday while receiving a delegation from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Nigeria, led by the Country Representative, Ms. Wafaa Abdelatef, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
According to him, UNICEF remains a strategic partner in Nigeria’s development agenda, and President Tinubu is determined to redefine leadership by prioritizing human capital development.
“President Bola Tinubu is a man of courage and conviction, doing everything possible to reshape the concept of modern leadership in Nigeria,” Shettima said.
“We are regenerating the economy, rebuilding the nation, and already seeing results. Inflation is easing, and by year-end, the economy will stabilize further.”
The vice president noted that the Federal Government was ready to deepen collaboration with UNICEF on several initiatives, including the Nutrition 774 Initiative, the Economic and Financial Inclusion Programme, and the Nutrition Intervention Fund.
In her remarks, Abdelatef commended Shettima for his leadership and advocacy for humanitarian causes, describing him as a “global citizen.” She assured that UNICEF would continue to align its interventions with the Tinubu administration’s priorities, particularly in nutrition, girl-child education, and human capital development.
She also praised ongoing government interventions such as the Nutrition Bill, the Nutrition 774 Initiative, and the Nutrition Intervention Fund, stressing that Nigeria’s vision for development was both clear and achievable.
