Fellowship Overview
The CERC Migration and Bridging Divides Journalism Fellowship at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) offers a unique one-month residency for experienced journalists covering migration, integration, and global issues.
This program provides fellows with the chance to engage with cutting-edge research, collaborate with leading scholars, and deepen their understanding of migration dynamics — while stepping back from daily newsroom pressures.
Journalists will also share their professional insights with researchers to strengthen communication between academia and media.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have at least 5 years of media experience
- Show a strong track record covering immigration, politics, social issues, global affairs, or economics
- Submit relevant work samples (2–3 pieces, PDFs or links)
