The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is set to hold the inaugural edition of its General Studies Day on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. The event, organized by the General Studies Office, will take place at 9:00 a.m. at the Nurudeen Alao Auditorium, Distance Learning Institute (DLI), UNILAG.
Conceived as a platform to deepen students’ engagement with the General Studies (GST) curriculum, the event aims to highlight its relevance as a vital and evolving component of academic development within the university.
This year’s theme, “The Future of e-Learning,” reflects UNILAG’s commitment to embracing technology-driven education. The event will feature a variety of engaging activities including a Legend Role Play, Career Talk sessions, and a Quiz Competition involving students from all faculties and the Distance Learning Institute.
Dignitaries expected at the occasion include Queen Tobi Phillips-Ogunwusi, wife of the Ooni of Ife, who will serve as Mother of the Day; Engineer Ifeoluwa Oyedele, FNSE, FAEng, President of the UNILAG Alumni Association Worldwide, who will be Father of the Day; and Mrs. Ediri Ose-Ediale, Lead Psychotherapist at Recharge Life Centre, who will serve as Special Guest of Honour.
