As of October 2024, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (Nelfund) has disbursed over N11 billion to students across 98 institutions nationwide.
The total amount, N11,047,793,949.80, has been allocated to 105,844 students, reflecting a substantial commitment to supporting students in their pursuit of higher education.
This initiative spans various geopolitical zones, making the loan fund accessible to students across the country and alleviating financial barriers to education.
The distribution data shows that most beneficiary institutions are located across different zones, with 27 institutions in one zone, 18 in another, and others ranging from 11 to 16 institutions in additional zones.
Through the financial support to students in diverse regions, Nelfund aims to enhance educational accessibility and bridge disparities in educational resources.
