The University of Lagos (UNILAG) wishes to notify all students that the application period for hostel accommodation for the 2025/2026 Academic Session has been extended by one week. Applications will now close at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, November 27, 2025, while the balloting exercise will take place on Friday, November 28, 2025.
Eligibility
Only 200 to 500 level students who have completed their First Semester course registration for the 2025/2026 session and are still within the approved duration of their programmes are eligible to apply.
How to Apply
Eligible students must apply for hostel accommodation through their student portals within the application window, after completing their course registration.
Allocation Process
At the close of the application period, available bed spaces will be allocated randomly through an electronic ballot to all eligible applicants.

Application Deadline: 11:59 p.m., Thursday, November 27, 2025
Balloting Day: Friday, November 28, 2025
Hall Check-In Begins: Wednesday, December 3, 2025
Students are advised to take note of these dates and follow all guidelines accordingly.

Students residing in the following hostels are not eligible to participate in the balloting exercise:

Gbajabiamila Hostel
UNILAG Women Society (ULWS) Hostel

The Student Affairs Division maintains the official list of residents in these hostels. Any student found violating this directive will be referred to the Students’ Disciplinary Board for social misconduct.
