The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, in collaboration with Education Development Trust (EDT), the Child Protection Society (CPS), and the Roger Federer Foundation (RFF), is conducting a workshop in Harare to strengthen the capacity of Master Trainers with technical pedagogical skills, as well as coaching and mentoring competencies.
The workshop aims to support the effective rollout of the School Readiness Initiative Programme, ensuring standardised and high-quality implementation across schools.
Key objectives of the workshop include equipping trainers with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to use the Smart Tablet Early Learning Assessment (STELA) and developing a clear strategy for supporting the Scale-Up Programme from provincial to district and school levels.
During the training, participants are being taken through hands-on sessions on the practical application of STELA to enhance teaching, assessment, and mentoring outcomes.
Delivering the opening remarks, Mr Mernard Danga spoke on behalf of the Chief Director of Primary, Secondary and Non-Formal Education (PSNE), highlighting the importance of capacity building in strengthening early learning outcomes nationwide.
