The French Government, through the Embassy of France in South Africa, has opened applications for the 2027 Campus France South Africa Scholarship, offering postgraduate study opportunities in France to eligible students from selected African countries.
Successful applicants can pursue Master’s or PhD programmes at French universities beginning in September 2027.

The scholarship package includes:
Monthly living allowance: approximately €900 for Master’s students and €1,850 for PhD students
One return flight
Social security coverage
Visa fee exemption
Priority access to student accommodation
Tuition-fee exemption at eligible public higher education institutions charging standard national tuition rates for non-European students

The 2027 scholarship is open to citizens of:

Applicants must:
1. Plan to begin their studies in France in September 2027.
2. Hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised tertiary institution or be in their final year.
3. Apply for a programme taught entirely in English or French, depending on their language ability.
