Founder of Christ Embassy, also known as Believers’ Loveworld, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has unveiled a range of electric vehicles under the Tsion brand at the New Economy Unveiling 2026.
The unveiling featured several models, including the Tsion Passion, Falcon series, Vision series, Vision Coupe and OG series.
During the presentation, Pastor Chris explained that “OG” represents “Of God.” He also acknowledged that some features of the vehicles, including the steering wheel on certain models, were still undergoing refinement.
Videos from the event showed the vehicles displayed as Pastor Chris walked through the lineup and explained the various models and their features.
The vehicles are being positioned as electric cars developed under the Tsion brand and presented as ready for the market.
Reactions to the electric vehicles
The unveiling has generated considerable discussion online, with supporters describing the initiative as a significant step towards innovation, local manufacturing and job creation.
Some commentators also linked the development to growing calls for churches and other institutions to invest in productive enterprises, manufacturing and technology.
However, the announcement has also attracted questions about the source of funding for the project, given the ministry’s status as a faith-based organisation, as well as concerns about the affordability of the vehicles for ordinary Nigerians.
The unveiling represents a notable expansion into the electric vehicle sector by the ministry led by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
Attention will now turn to the development of the Tsion electric vehicle brand, including its manufacturing capacity, pricing, availability and eventual rollout on Nigerian roads.
