Applications are now open for the 2026 Graduate Trainee Programme of the Leventis Foundation Nigeria, offering young Nigerian engineering graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on technical experience while building a professional career.
The programme provides participants with practical training in vehicle maintenance and technical operations within a supportive and multicultural work environment.
Established in 1988, the Leventis Foundation Nigeria was created to continue the philanthropic legacy of Anastasios G. Leventis, a Cypriot entrepreneur known for his contributions to education, agriculture, and capacity development in Nigeria.
According to the organisers, the trainee programme is designed to help young professionals develop technical mastery while contributing to impactful community-driven initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
Interested applicants must meet the following requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
0–2 years post-graduation experience
Basic knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
NYSC completion certificate or exemption
Willingness to work in Enugu, Aba, Lagos, or Abuja
Roles and Responsibilities
Successful trainees will:
Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance of fleet vehicles
Support the diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical faults
Participate in routine vehicle inspections and safety checks
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Support breakdown response and emergency repairs when necessary
Monitor vehicle performance and report recurring technical issues
Ensure compliance with company safety and maintenance standards
