The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the commencement of online registration for the 2025 Basic Military Training Course (BMTC 46/2025), offering qualified Nigerians an opportunity to join the service as Airmen and Airwomen.
According to a statement signed by Air Vice Marshal A. H. Bakari on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff, the application process is free of charge and will run from October 14 to November 25, 2025.
Interested applicants are to complete their registration through the official portal: www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.
Application Guidelines
Applicants are advised to carefully read and follow all instructions on the recruitment portal before submitting their applications.
Upon completion, candidates must print out:
An Acknowledgment Form
A Parent/Guardian Consent Form
A Local Government Area Attestation Form
The attestation form must be signed by one of the following:
A Military Officer not below the rank of Wing Commander
A Police Officer of at least Chief Superintendent rank
A Local Government Chairman or Secretary
A Magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin
Each form must include the signee’s passport photograph and a copy of a valid identification card, such as a National ID, Driver’s Licence, or International Passport.
The NAF emphasized that forms will not be generated for invalid applicants, warning that all information provided must be accurate.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be Nigerian citizens and meet all medical, physical, and psychological fitness requirements of the Nigerian Air Force.
Height requirements:
Minimum of 1.66 meters for males
Minimum of 1.63 meters for females
For Non-Tradesmen and Non-Tradeswomen:
Age: 18–22 years
Education: At least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS
Must present a secondary school testimonial
For Tradesmen and Tradeswomen:
Age: 18–27 years
Qualification: National Diploma (ND) or NCE with at least a lower credit, and five credits in relevant subjects
Must hold a valid trade test certificate and driver’s licence (for driving roles)
For Sportsmen and Sportswomen:
Must provide evidence of professional experience, including certificates and medals.
Applicants must have no criminal record and must not have been convicted by any court of law.

The Zonal General Aptitude Test for shortlisted candidates will be held on a date to be announced later via the recruitment portal. Only successful applicants will be invited for the final selection interview.
