1. Know the JAMB Syllabus Download the official JAMB syllabus and study only what is required. UTME questions are drawn strictly from it.
2. Use Recommended Textbooks Read JAMB-recommended textbooks for each subject. Avoid random materials that may confuse you.
3. Practice Past Questions Daily UTME repeats question patterns. Solve past questions from at least the last 10–15 years.
4. Study with a Timetable Create a realistic study timetable and stick to it. Short, consistent study periods work better than long, irregular ones.
5. Master Time Management Practice answering questions under timed conditions. You’ll have about 1 minute per question in the CBT exam.
6. Focus on Your Weak Subjects Identify difficult topics early and give them extra attention instead of avoiding them.
7. Use CBT Practice Apps Practice on JAMB CBT apps or computer centres to get used to the exam interface and reduce exam-day anxiety.
8. Take Short Notes and Summaries Write key formulas, definitions, and rules. Quick revision notes help during final preparations.
9. Avoid Cramming Understand concepts instead of memorising answers. JAMB now tests reasoning more than recall.
10. Take Care of Your Health Eat well, rest adequately, and sleep properly. A tired mind performs poorly in exams.
