The Next Generation Resource Governance Leaders Program (NextGen) is a prestigious internship initiative designed to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application. The NextGen Program seeks to:

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Be young Africans residing in Africa, aged not more than 32 years
Demonstrate a strong passion for ensuring Africa’s natural resources contribute to sustainable development
Preferred Academic Backgrounds include:
Economics (including Energy Economics)
Engineering (Petroleum, Electrical, etc.)
Oil & Gas Management
Public Policy
Law
Political Economy
Development Studies / Development Finance
Project Management
Communications
Statistics / Mathematics
🛠️ Required Skills & Competencies
Strong writing skills with clarity and logical structure
Knowledge of analytical tools such as R, Stata, EViews, NVivo, Atlas.ti
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Creative thinking and problem-solving ability
Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and leadership
