The Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare has received a NELFUND disbursement of ₦630,525,000 for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The funds, credited on April 27, 2026, will cover the statutory charges of 2,602 students of the institution, providing critical financial support to beneficiaries and helping to ensure uninterrupted access to higher education.
The disbursement forms part of the ongoing efforts of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to ease the financial burden on students and expand access to tertiary education across the country.
With this intervention, over two thousand six hundred students of the university will be able to continue their academic pursuits without disruption, in line with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope agenda for education.
Stakeholders have described the funding as a significant boost to student welfare and a demonstration of the government’s commitment to making higher education more accessible and affordable for Nigerian students. :::
