Every year, Absa selects 50 high-potential students who demonstrate purpose, passion, and leadership potential. Fellows benefit from academic funding, mentorship, and personal development programmes, preparing them to lead across business, government, and innovation sectors.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be aged 18–25 years old
- Hold a minimum 65% academic record (June 2025 prelim or final matric results)
- Be enrolling as a first-year undergraduate student in 2026 at a public South African university
- Be pursuing a degree in:
- Commerce
- Humanities & Social Sciences
- Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM, including health sciences but excluding medicine & veterinary studies)
- Creative Arts
- Digital/Data Design
⚠️ Important: The application must be submitted in the student’s name (not a parent/guardian).
Selection Process
The fellowship has four phases:
- Pre-screening: Check if minimum requirements are met.
- Psychometric Assessment: Applicants receive a voucher code to complete.
- Shortlisting: Based on assessment scores.
- Interviews: Final shortlisted candidates are interviewed.
