The AFC Internship Program is designed to give interns hands-on experience in:
Investment origination
Business development
Deal execution
Portfolio management
Advisory and syndication activities across Africa

Eligibility Requirements
Educational Qualifications
Applicants must have:
A strong first degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or Sciences from a recognised university
An MBA or M.Sc. (completed or in view) in a relevant field is an added advantage
Relevant finance or infrastructure-related certifications
Professional Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience, preferably in:
Infrastructure investment banking
Financial or operations advisory
Experience in:
Infrastructure investment projects in Africa
Financial analysis, research, and pitch book preparation
Language Requirements
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory
Knowledge of French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic is an added advantage
Other Requirements
Strong passion for Africa’s development
Willingness to live and work in Lagos, Nigeria
Key Skills and Competencies
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel financial modeling (project finance, corporate finance, equity, mezzanine, shareholder loans)
Excellent financial analysis and quantitative problem-solving skills
Advanced PowerPoint presentation and pitch-deck development skills
Strong business writing and communication skills
Good credit and investment review capacity
Solid knowledge of Africa’s investment and infrastructure landscape
