Scholarship Overview:
The University of Melbourne is inviting applications for the 2025 Human Rights Scholarship. This fully funded opportunity is available to graduate research students committed to advancing human rights through academic research and community involvement.
Scholarship Benefits:
Annual living allowance of $43,500 (pro rata for part-time study)
Full tuition fee coverage (up to 2 years for Master’s, 4 years for Doctorate)
Relocation support: $2,000 (within Australia) or $3,000 (from outside Australia)
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for international students
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
Meet entry requirements for a research Master’s or Doctoral degree at the University of Melbourne
Intend to conduct research in the field of human rights
Not have completed a graduate research degree at the same or higher level
Not have previously received a graduate research scholarship
Selection Criteria:
Academic excellence
Demonstrated commitment to human rights (including voluntary or professional experience)
Strong supporting documents outlining how the proposed research will contribute to human rights
