The National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR) has partnered with Google to launch a ₦100 million AI Fund aimed at empowering 10 Nigerian startups that leverage artificial intelligence in their products.
The initiative seeks to drive innovation in Nigeria’s tech ecosystem, supporting companies that are transforming industries through AI. The program is designed to foster growth by providing funding, technical support, and global exposure to the selected startups.
Benefits:
Each selected startup will receive up to ₦10 million in funding to help scale their AI products and solutions. In addition to financial support, startups will gain access to Google’s advanced AI tools and resources. Participants will also receive mentorship from Google’s team of engineers, providing valuable technical guidance to help refine and enhance their products.
Eligibility:
To qualify for the NCAIR-Google AI Fund, startups must meet several requirements. Eligible companies must be headquartered in Nigeria and focus on building solutions for both the Nigerian and potentially African or global markets. Additionally, companies must demonstrate market fit and exhibit significant growth potential. Each startup must also be an AI technology company with a live product in the market, compatible with Google products and capable of leveraging them for further growth.
Application process:
Startups interested in applying for the NCAIR-Google AI Fund must submit their applications by September 25, 2024. The program will run virtually for six weeks, from October to November 2024.
