Days after the teacher conference at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, Guinness World Records confirmed Nigeria’s record. The certificate was presented virtually to participants.
The recognition followed verification that the event surpassed all previous teacher gatherings globally. Educators and stakeholders celebrated the milestone online.
Speaking with Edutimes Africa the convener Oluwaseyi Anifowose confirmed the news in a phone.
“We did it and yes we are officially Guinness World Records Holder of the largest gatheirng of teachers in the world’.
Sola Sogbera one of the Organisers described the confirmation as historic, saying it highlights Nigeria’s commitment to teacher development and global education leadership.
