Maiduguri, Nigeria – The Federal Polytechnic Monguno has confirmed the receipt of N3,830,000 from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund) to cover institutional charges for 32 students of the institution.
In an official statement dated 27th February 2025, the Rector, Engr. Prof. Garba M. Ngala, expressed appreciation for the intervention, noting that it has boosted students’ academic morale and alleviated financial difficulties amid current economic challenges.
The Rector commended the federal government for implementing the NELFund initiative, describing it as a crucial support system for students struggling with tuition and institutional charges.
Prof. Ngala expressed optimism for continued collaboration with NELFund to further ease students’ financial burdens, assuring the institution’s commitment to ensuring proper utilization of the funds.
The NELFund initiative, introduced by the government, aims to provide financial aid to students in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their academic progress.
