The Federal University of Environment and Technology (FUET), Ogoni, Rivers State, has received a significant disbursement of ₦85,119,595 from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The funds, credited to the institution on May 22, 2026, will benefit 395 students and are designated to cover statutory charges, easing the financial burden on beneficiaries and enabling them to continue their academic pursuits without interruption.
University officials described the disbursement as a major boost to access to higher education, noting that the intervention reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting students through the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The NELFUND initiative is aimed at providing financial assistance to eligible Nigerian students, ensuring that economic challenges do not prevent them from attaining quality tertiary education.
With this latest disbursement, hundreds of students at the Federal University of Environment and Technology, Ogoni, are expected to enjoy greater financial stability as they focus on their studies and academic success.
