Often, it is in life’s waiting seasons that this love becomes most evident. In moments when answers seem delayed and the heart wrestles with uncertainty, we begin to discover the depth of who God is.
The waiting season has a way of renewing truths we may already know about Him. It reminds us that God does not fail, is never late, and gives the best to His own. Yet walking through that season requires faith, because faith is what moves God’s hand to perform.
As simple as having faith sounds, it can be difficult to hold onto while we wait because there is the question of doubt. But for that question, an answer has already been provided: His track record. A ledger written within our hearts, holding the account of countless moments when God came through. So, with every passing moment in the long hours of waiting, we are reminded to hold tightly to faith. And when strength begins to falter, may His Word and the reminder of His faithfulness keep us anchored.
The waiting season also reveals something profound about the nature of God’s blessings. His blessings are often far bigger than our expectations for ourselves. With God, it is safe to dream beyond limits. It is safe to imagine heights that feel overwhelming, because He can be trusted.
With God, there is no need for a Plan B, because God remains the beginning, middle, and end of every plan. Faith is invited to rise to its highest point, and in that space, God reveals Himself in ways words cannot fully capture. Life will not always feel easy. Some days will feel heavier than others. There may be moments of breaking and wrestling with doubt. But even in those moments, distance should never be created between the heart and God. Rather, Take His word back to Him as a reminder.
The waiting season is a building phase of life. During this time, you come to understand God and yourself much more deeply. You begin to recognize the importance of a healthy environment, the people you are surrounded by, and the mindset you cultivate.
An analogy that often helps me is this: imagine looking directly at the sun at the peak of the afternoon. Its light shines so intensely that it blinds you to everything around you. And when you finally look away, your eyes struggle to readjust, making it difficult to clearly see what’s before you. But with time, your vision settles, and everything becomes visible again, even impossibilities. And in that moment, doubt can quietly begin to creep in.
So instead, keep your focus fixed on the Source, the light. Let the Son of God, Jesus Christ, shine so brightly in your life that you become incapable of seeing impossibilities.
