The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr, alongside the Executive Director of Operations, Mr. Mustapha Iyal, and members of the NELFUND team, today visited the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, as part of the agency’s ongoing sensitization tour in the state.
The visit is aimed at raising awareness and providing clarity on the objectives, benefits, and application procedures of the federal government’s student loan scheme. The engagement session drew enthusiastic participation from students, staff, and management of the institution.
During the interaction, NELFUND officials addressed questions and concerns, offering detailed explanations about the loan’s accessibility and the agency’s drive toward ensuring inclusivity in tertiary education funding. Mr. Sawyerr reiterated the fund’s commitment to supporting Nigerian students through transparent and simplified processes that ease access to educational financing.
The sensitization tour continues as NELFUND strengthens its public engagement efforts to ensure that no eligible student is left behind.
