The Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr, on Thursday led a high-level delegation on a courtesy visit to His Majesty, Alayeluwa Oloore Oodua, Oba (Dr.) Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo, the Oore of Otun-Ekiti, in Ekiti State.
Accompanied by the Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Dr. Femi Fred Akinfala, the NELFUND team was warmly received by the Oore, his council of chiefs, and the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Ekiti State.
Other members of the delegation included Mr. Sola Fowobaje (Director, SERVICOM), Mr. Nasir Ayitogo (Technical Assistant to the MD/CE), Mr. Yomi Gbadamosi (Personal Assistant to the MD/CE), Mr. Festus Adefehinti (Personal Assistant to the EDFA), Mrs. Olajumoke Jayeoba (Deputy Manager, Evaluation), Mr. Oluojo Ayoola Olufemi (Officer I, Evaluation), and Mr. Omogbemile Tunde Joseph (Officer I, Evaluation).
The visit formed part of NELFUND’s ongoing sensitization and stakeholder engagement tour across the Southwest region, designed to deepen awareness and understanding of the Fund’s mandate. The MD reiterated NELFUND’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that no Nigerian student is denied access to quality education due to financial limitations.
In his remarks, His Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo, commended the management of NELFUND for its proactive efforts in promoting access to education and pledged the continued support of the Ekiti traditional institution for the Fund’s initiatives.
The visit further underscores NELFUND’s dedication to building strong partnerships with traditional rulers and key state stakeholders in advancing its mission of equitable access to education financing across Nigeria.
