Abuja – President Bola Tinubu has approved the immediate construction of new hostels at the Nigerian Law School, Abuja Campus, alongside a major road project in the city.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister, Lere Olayinka, said the projects will be handled under emergency consideration by FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
The hostel plan includes two purpose-built blocks, each with 300-bed capacity. One block will be reserved for female students and the other for male students. The initiative is expected to ease the accommodation struggles faced by law school students in Abuja.
On infrastructure, the President also directed the construction of a new access road linking the Body of Benchers Secretariat in Jabi District to Nile University.
According to the FCT Minister’s office, the road will not only give smooth access to the Secretariat but also help reduce traffic along the busy route leading to the EFCC headquarters.
