Under the TETFund Scholarship for Academic Staff Scheme, 215 lecturers were sponsored abroad, while over 4,000 are studying in Nigerian universities.
Of those sponsored overseas, 72 are pursuing post-doctoral courses, 67 doctoral programmes, 27 master’s degrees, and 49 bench work training.
In Nigeria, 2,539 lecturers are on doctoral scholarships, while 1,891 are studying for master’s degrees.
