The University of Ilorin has announced that celebrated public speaker and former Director of the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission, Prof. Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba, will deliver its 50th Anniversary Lecture on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the university’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, said the lecture is one of the major events lined up for the grand finale of UNILORIN’s Golden Jubilee celebration. The event is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the University Auditorium.
Akogun also revealed that the university has planned a ₦500 billion endowment fund-raising campaign aimed at establishing a state-of-the-art Innovation and Transcript Hub. Additional activities include recognition awards for outstanding alumni and the premiere of a Nollywood film titled Son of Iron.
These events mark a significant milestone as UNILORIN celebrates 50 years of academic excellence, innovation, and growth.
