London, 16 October 2025 — The Premier League has reaffirmed its commitment to diversity and equality across football as it kicks off another powerful edition of the No Room For Racism campaign.
Over the next two weekends, all Premier League fixtures — from 18 to 26 October — will spotlight the fight against racism and discrimination, coinciding with the UK’s Black History Month. Players will take the knee before matches to demonstrate unity against all forms of racial injustice.
This year’s campaign places a renewed emphasis on education. Through the Premier League Primary Stars initiative, schools across England and Wales are engaging children in discussions about diversity and inclusion — with a poetry competition themed “Greatness Comes From Everywhere.”
The competition aims to inspire young people to celebrate diversity in all forms, and the winning entry will earn a Premier League Trophy visit to their school.
Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters reaffirmed the League’s stance, saying:
“Football is for everyone. We remain steadfast in our belief that there is no place for racism in football or wider society.”
Former Leicester City captain Wes Morgan, a member of the judging panel, praised the children’s creative efforts:
> “Reading their poems reminded me how proud so many are of our diversity. We want these young people to grow up in a world without discrimination.”
The Premier League continues to take tough action against racism, including automatic stadium bans and legal prosecution for offenders, while supporting players who experience abuse online.
Across Africa, fans and academies have welcomed the League’s sustained focus on inclusion and education — a message that resonates strongly in a continent that continues to produce world-class Premier League talent.
“There is room for celebration, pride, and education — but no room for racism.”
