The African Engineering and Technology (AFRETEC) Network at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) is set to host the UNILAG Doctoral Academy 2.0, a five-day capacity-building programme aimed at enhancing research competencies and doctoral training among scholars and postgraduate students.
The academy will take place from June 29 to July 3, 2026, at the UNILAG-RICE 360 Design Studio, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Lagos. Daily sessions are scheduled to run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
According to the organisers, the programme is designed to strengthen research excellence, foster innovation, and encourage collaboration among participants through a series of intensive academic engagements.
The academy will feature keynote presentations, practical workshops, participant research presentations, and interactive sessions focused on advancing doctoral education and research productivity.
As part of the African Engineering and Technology (AFRETEC) Network’s commitment to building a new generation of researchers and innovators, the initiative is expected to provide participants with valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, professional development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
