Sponsor a Mom (SAM), a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting mothers and children in underserved communities, has announced a new partnership with The Felly Fund, a foundation established in memory of Yetunde Felicia “Felly” Oni, an advocate for education and compassion.
Under the agreement, The Felly Fund will sponsor two children enrolled in SAM’s programme, covering their tuition and providing mentorship throughout their university education. The initiative reflects the organisations’ shared commitment to removing barriers to learning and creating opportunities for disadvantaged children.
“In honouring her legacy, we open doors to education, empowering children to dream, grow and create a future brighter than their circumstances,” said Abisola Oni, Co-Founder of The Felly Fund. Her fellow Co-Founder, Olakunmi Oni, added: “Partnering with Sponsor a Mom allows us to continue the work our mother championed, ensuring education remains a tool of empowerment for generations.”
Sponsor a Mom, founded by Moyosola Kara, provides mothers and families with health checks, financial aid and community-driven programmes. Kara described the partnership as a “powerful reminder of what is possible when communities come together.” She added: “Education changes everything. With The Felly Fund, we are ensuring the next generation not only has access to school but also the support to truly thrive.”
By combining family-focused support with long-term educational investment, both organisations say they are paving the way for sustainable solutions to inequality—impacting one child at a time.
