Under the theme “Excellence Beyond Limits,” C.V. Bethel Senior High School hosted an Awards Ceremony on Thursday, March 26, 2026, to celebrate more than 200 students named to the Honour Roll and Principal’s List.
Education Minister the Hon. Glenys Hanna Martin was among the special guests who congratulated the students for their hard work and dedication during the Christmas and Summer 2025 terms. Also in attendance were District Superintendent Shavanna Darville; President of Arawak Homes and Representative of the Junior Achievement (JA) Programme, Franon Wilson; and Distinguished Toastmaster Andre Kelly.
In an inspiring keynote address, Mr. Kelly encouraged students to remain focused on their long-term goals despite any hindrances or distractions they may face.
The ceremony also highlighted the increasing academic success of male students. Out of the 31 students who earned a spot on the Principal’s List, 11 were boys. Principal Monique Miller specifically applauded the high number of male students who performed excellently during the last academic term.
Eleventh grade student Ishmael Sawyer obtained the award for Highest Overall G.P.A., earning a 3.80. In addition to being named Most Outstanding in Computer Studies, student Sydney Rolle was presented with multiple awards by the Junior Achievement (JA) Programme. Rolle was recognized as the Top Student in New Providence and secured second place nationally in the National JA Speech competition.
