The Student Venture Capital Programme (S-VCG) is an initiative under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It is powered by the Federal Ministry of Education and is designed to provide funding, support, and national visibility for bold student-led businesses and innovations.

Thus far, 2026 has seen 45 winners of this grant with each receiving N50 million to fund his/her startup. In addition to the free funds, they also enjoy free access to mentorship, incubation support, and cutting edge digital tools.
For you to be eligible for this grant, your business or innovation must focus on key development sectors such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medical Science (STEMM).
This initiative reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to empowering young innovators, helping them to build a strong foundation for their startup idea, just as it also serves to inspire the rich talent pool which the Nigerian youth represents, to fulfill its potentials by reaching for the skies.
This programme has disbursed over N2.2 Billion as grants…and counting.
