The Federal College of Agriculture, Akure (FECA), has acknowledged the disbursement of student loans by the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to 446 students of the institution for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a letter dated June 8, 2026, and addressed to the Managing Director/Chief Executive of NELFUND, the Acting Provost and Chief Executive Officer of the college, Dr. Rasheed Folorunso, expressed appreciation for the agency’s efforts in supporting students through its loan scheme.
The institution confirmed the receipt of funds for five verified batches of beneficiaries, amounting to ₦96,210,000.
According to the breakdown, Batch FCAAKURESL16 covered 83 students with ₦18,230,000, while Batch FCAAKURESL17 provided ₦20,462,500 for 87 students.
Similarly, Batch FCAAKURESL18 benefited 108 students with ₦25,337,000, Batch FCAAKURESL19 disbursed ₦27,704,500 to 137 students, and Batch FCAAKURESL20 covered 31 students with ₦4,446,000.
In the letter, Dr. Folorunso commended NELFUND for its commitment to expanding access to higher education through financial support, stating that the college appreciates the agency’s intervention.
“We are by this letter acknowledging the receipt of all the verified batches for the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure, for the 2025/2026 session as tabulated below. Please keep up the good job you are doing at NELFUND,” the letter read.
The acknowledgement adds to the growing number of tertiary institutions confirming the receipt of NELFUND loan disbursements aimed at easing the financial burden on students across Nigeria.
